From Aquarium Hobby to a 70-Tank Operation
Idaho Tropical Fish began with Richard’s interest in keeping and breeding aquarium fish. Over roughly a year and a half, the project grew into an approximately 70-tank setup in his garage, supported by an automated water-change system.
The goal is straightforward: give Treasure Valley hobbyists and approved local fish stores another way to find freshwater fish raised close to home. Buyers can review current stock online, ask questions directly, and arrange pickup without treating a private residence like a walk-in retail store.
A Working Home Hatchery, Not a Walk-In Store
All visits and pickups are by appointment only. This allows Richard to confirm availability, prepare for the buyer’s visit, and protect the privacy of the home where the hatchery operates.
The public website should identify Meridian, Idaho as the location without displaying the residential street address. The exact pickup address can be shared privately after an appointment is confirmed.
